Ann Marie Stamison (Sager, Gaffney) was born March 26, 1934 in New York, NY, to the late Kathryn Rivers and George Sager. A graduate of Bergenfield High School (NJ) and Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing (Teaneck, NJ) with an RN, she worked at both NY Presbyterian Hospital and Rutgers University, and spent her early adulthood in New York and New Jersey raising her family. After relocating to Florida, she worked at HCA Community Hospital in New Port Richey from 1975-2003, 18 years of which she spent as the Head Nurse of the telemetry unit. Ann grew up loving the beach, enjoyed music, reading, playing cards with her friends, and playing the piano. She was a member of the NPR Junior Service League, the Red Hat Society, and Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Ann died peacefully in her home on Saturday, March 31, surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her husband George Stamison, son Stephen Gaffney, infant daughter Teresa Gaffney, brother Evan Sager, and longtime sweetheart Ray Gorman. She is survived by her children James and wife Becky Gaffney, Tom and wife Kay Gaffney, Kathryn Gaffney, Patricia and husband Ferdia Burke, and grandchildren Matthew, Elisabeth, and Esmerylda, along with nieces Karyn and Kate Seibel, sister-in-law Patty Sager, niece and nephew Penny and Pat Hajduk, and beloved friend and partner in crime June Rodopoulos.
