Betty Louise Thompson of Clearwater, FL passed away on September 28th, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. She was born Betty L Pollitt, in Dayton, Ohio on October 14th, 1931, to loving parents, Arthur and Goldie Pollitt. Like all human beings, Betty had flaws, but overall, she was a good person who always tried to do her best for others and always give much of herself. She was an energetic woman driven to succeed. She graduated from Northridge High School in 1950, and soon married George Phillips of Dayton, Ohio, a General Motors employee. In 1951, Betty also became employed by G.M. By 1956, Betty had given birth to her first two children, Deborah and Mark. She now had two full time jobs and excelled in both. Her marriage to George lasted until 1957, and they separated. Two years later, in 1959, Betty fell in love again and married Dale Thompson, which resulted in two more offspring, Mike and Brian. Later, Betty gave up on her G.M. job to pursue a career in the healthcare field. She went back to school and eventually obtained a four-year degree from Capital University, and soon operated a successful nursing business, which was run until her retirement. The years passed and Betty became a good grandmother to her three grandchildren, Tracey Back, Mark Phillips Jr, and Matt Phillips.
Betty is survived by her children Deborah (Don) Back, Mark (Diana- predeceased) Phillips, Mike (Rose) Thompson, and Brian Thompson, one brother, Bob Pollitt, and her grandchildren, Tracey Back, Mark Phillips Jr, and Matt Phillips.
