Catherine Prudden, 95, of New Port Richey, FL passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. She was born on November 10, 1920 in Madison, New Jersey. Catherine was married to George Prudden Sr. She is survived by her children George Prudden Jr., Fran Damiano and Gail Eagly; her grandchildren Thomas Scheiderman, Tony Damiano, Patrick Damiano, Roxanne Craft, Kelly Todd, Roberta Eagly and Richard Eagly; her great-grandchildren Rachel Scheiderman, Brittany Todd, Katie Todd, Teá Todd, Roberta Michel, Patrick Murphy, Heather Craft, Hailey Knippel, Mercedes Davis, Malia Eagly and Matthew Eagly; her great
great-grandchildren Jaydan Michel and Rylie Dobbs.
During her life she was courageous and strong willed, as well as being soft, caring and loving. She was a wife, a mother and the owner of her own beauty shop for several years. After she was retired, Catherine
was a very active member of the Queen of Peace church. During this time she held several roles including being a lecture, Sacristan, Alter Server and a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a proud member of the Deanery, Hibernians and Rosary Alter Society where she often held a leadership position.
Catherine will be missed by all her loved ones. She was an amazing role-model to her family and friends, proving that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Along with standing strong with her
beliefs, she was also open to others’ ideas.
Catherine’s family will be celebrating her life this week. The viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 2pm – 6pm at Morgan’s Funeral Home in New Port Richey. The service will be held
at Our Lady Queen of Peace in New Port Richey on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 10 am. The viewing and service are open to all family and friends. The burial at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens will be a private service for the family.
