David William Osborne

David William Osborne, 61, formerly of Mashpee, MA, husband of Janet L. (LeBlanc) Osborne, died Monday, December 18, 2017 at Kindred Hospital in Tampa, FL. after succumbing to pulmonary arrest. Dave and his brother Ted were born to Theodore M. Osborne and Judith D. (Wormwood) Osborne Leonard. They made their home in Burlington, MA and later the family moved to the Panama Canal Zone where he graduated in 1974 from Balboa H.S. Dave served as a welder in the United States Navy from 1975-1979. Dave married Janet in 2005, and made their home in Mashpee, MA before retiring to New Port Richey, FL. Dave spent his career as an IT Systems Analyst, Manager and Director for HP, Baltimore Technologies, Computer Vision, EMC, Cape Cod Hospital and Pasco Hernando State College. Dave hated school, but was able to teach himself almost anything from building a computer to building an addition. Dave loved spending time with his kids, as well as goofing around with his faithful fury companions Porter and Miller. He enjoyed cooking, grilling, smoking meats, and sharing meals with friends and family. Dave found nothing more relaxing than hanging with friends with a good cigar and a glass of Crown Royal. Dave is survived by his wife Janet L. (LeBlanc), and his children Scott V. Osborne and Chelsea D. Osborne. He is also survived by his brother, Theodore (Ted) Osborne and his wife Colette; step-father, John Leonard and his wife Colleen; brother-in-law, Roger LeBlanc and his wife Lillian; and sister-in-law Phyllis (LeBlanc) Anderson and her husband Philip. He is also survived by a step-sister, step-brothers, many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved tormenting. He is predeceased by his mother, Judith D. (Wormwood) Osborne Leonard and father, Theodore M. Osborne. At the request of David, no services are planned at this time.
