Kathleen P. Maloney of Gulf Harbors, New Port Richey, Florida, passed away of natural causes at home.
Kathleen grew up in Miami Florida and graduated from catholic high school in Miami and studied at the University of Miami. Kathleen worked as a Stewardess and VIP Specialist for National Airlines during the Golden Era of Flying. She met her husband Francis (Deceased 2017) of 55 years who was a NYPD Detective. They raised their three children Christopher (Sandy), (Anna-Deceased), Michael (Maria), and Susan in the seaside community of Rockaway Beach before relocating to Gulf Harbors in 1985. She adored her 4 grandchildren: Mike, Ryan, Patrick, and Wynn.
Kathleen cherished her early career as a flight attendant and maintained lifelong friendships with her co-workers. She was passionate about gardening and worked in a florist for years. She was also a member of various gardening and quilting clubs throughout her lifetime. Kathleen had an eye for fashion and worked in a high-end boutique for years. In her early years she loved long walks on the beach and was an avid reader. Kathleen was a football fanatic and never missed a televised Miami Hurricane or Tampa Bay Bucs game. Kathy was a devoted Catholic throughout her entire life and will be greatly missed by her family. Kathy's Funeral will be held at St. Dominic's Chapel in Oyster Bay, NY, on Saturday, December 17th at 10:00 AM.
