Marguerite "Marge" R. Dellano, longtime resident of New Port Richey and most recently Spring Hill, Florida, entered peacefully into eternal life on August 29, 2022. The youngest and third daughter of Joseph and Theresa (LaCaso) DeLizza, Marge was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 9, 1928. She worked for many years as an Executive Bank Teller in New Jersey before her retirement and moved to Florida over thirty years ago with her daughter Rosemary Dellano. Marge was an active and devoted parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in New Port Richey where she served for many years as a Catechist, RCIA Sponsor, Eucharistic Minister and Lector; among her many volunteer activities were the Legion of Mary, Early Childhood Center Volunteer and Vacation Bible Camp volunteer.
Marge was a gifted singer and actress and began performing at the age of 6 years old in local Italian theater and choral groups. She later became a Professional Recording Artist under the name of Rita Delmar and recorded such hits as " Teenage Heart' and " Rockaway". She performed with other professional artists including Frank Sinatra, Danny Kaye and Ozzie and Harriet. Marge was also a published poet. She enjoyed counted cross-stitching and gifted many families and friends with her beautiful work.
Marge is survived by her beloved daughter Rosemary Theresa Dellano of Holiday, Florida, her nieces Lorraine (Pete) Kolankowski and Anne (Brian) Horten, her nephews Frank (Tina) Bollettieri, Joseph (Anne)
DeLizza, and Thomas (Barbara) Bollettieri and numerous great-nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her sisters Isabella and Rosina, and her brother Frank as well as her niece Theresa Graham and nephew Joseph Bollettieri.
