Scott M DePalma, 93, passed away in his sleep September 25, 2023, in New Port Richey, Florida where he and his wife Sylvia retired. Scott was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce. He served as a lieutenant and Captain in the Airforce working as an Engineer in Weapon's Testing. He was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania and then lived in Ithica New York where he attended Cornell University. His living in upstate New York was where his heart yearned. He graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree and then joined the Airforce at Eglin air force base. He married Shirley Jean Price and had three children. Amy DePalma Turturro (Tony), Julie DePalma Williamson (Irv) and Andrew DePalma (Tina) and his granddaughter Jaimie Clare and step-grandson Justin Lofton all of whom he loved very much. Later in life Scott married his loving wife of 37 years, Sylvia Vano who preceded him in death by 1 year. Scott worked for Carrier Air Conditioning in Akron, OH and then move his family to Glen Ellyn, IL in 1965. A hardworking businessman who made sure his family never did without. He taught us to enjoy life by experiencing travel, culture, different foods and reading. His witty sense of humor was usually unexpected, and ready to make you laugh and sometimes inappropriate. He will be missed by many.
