Mrs. Sharon Iva Pound died peacefully at North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, Florida on October 6, 2021 with her daughters at her side. She was born September 28, 1947 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and adopted by Charles and Eddie Joe Kozla.
She is survived by her daughters Alaina Wilson and Krystin Leonard and her son Travis Pound. She is predeceased by her husband Willy Pound as well as her brother Jimmy Kozla. She was the proud grandmother to Wyatt, Bailey, Gunner, Brielle and Brandon and great-grandmother to Josie. She was a native Floridian. She graduated from Northeast Highschool in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1965. She was a hard working woman who at times had multiple jobs to provide for her family, mostly in the service industry. Her husband and her had the pleasure of being well traveled during their life together thanks to his job as a millwright business agent.
She loved seeing new places, especially if their was a beach. She loved her family unconditionally and had a huge heart for those in need. She adored her animals and there were many through the years. She was a friend to all. She never turned away a person or animal in need. She maintained lifelong friends who were essentially family; Patricia Melfi and family, Joan Carlson and family.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. She will be missed.
