Susie M Wesson

Our beloved Susie (Sue) Maurine Wesson entered into God’s Kingdom on December 12^th, 2022, after a short battle with pneumonia at the age of 88 in Hudson Florida.

Susie was born to Susie and Clyde Leach on February 5th, 1934, in McLemoresville Tennessee. She was the youngest of nine siblings (Charles, James, Mattie, Ben, Thelma, John J, Jerry Lee, Ruth & Ruby.)

Living in a small farming community Susie met her soulmate Owen Wesson at a young age, Owen and Susie ran off to Corinth Mississippi when she was 14 and Owen 19 to be wed, a match truly made in heaven. Susie and Owen went on to have 4 children, Barbara, Kathy, Randy, and Deborah.

Looking for a better life and better opportunity for her family they moved to Florida in the 1950’s. Susie was a homemaker to her loving family and also helped her husband Owen build a successful business as an auto mechanic at Wesson Auto Service on Trouble Creek Road in New Port Richey. She also was a cashier manager at the local supermarket where she turned down many promotions to help raise her family which was always priority to Susie.

Susie was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She loved the church and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible. She was a devout southern Baptist and for many years played the organ at the church while Owen was a deacon.

Susie joins her husband, children, siblings & parents in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members including all of her grandchildren who will miss her dearly, Susie was our families rock and will be dearly missed.

Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
