William J. Kelly, 74, of New Port Richey, Florida died peacefully on Tuesday December 12, 2023, with his wife and daughters by his side. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Kelly, father, William J. Kelly, sister, Maureen Belmonte and nephew, Timmy Kelly. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Eileen Riordan Kelly; daughters Meghan Crutchfield (Ryan), Leann Kelly and Brenna Kelly; grandchildren Ember Crutchfield, Maeve Crutchfield, and Finn Crutchfield; brothers James Kelly (Bronwen) Michael Kelly (Lillian) and Timothy Kelly (Karen); sisters Joanne Dunn (Roger), Margaret Ferry (Bob), Maryann Doren (Pete Kelly), Annette Ross (Jack) and Ruthann Hipps (Wally). Many loving nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews.
Bill was born in Elizabeth, NJ, in 1949. He would grow up to be the eldest of 10 siblings. In 1961 the family relocated to Hilo, Hawaii, which was a location Bill kept close to his heart. Upon moving back to New Jersey, the Kelly’s settled in Union Beach. He graduated from Keyport High School in 1967 and went on to serve his country in the US Navy. He married his loving wife Eileen in 1986 and spent 37 years together. In 2001, Bill and Eileen moved to New Port Richey, FL, where they raised their three daughters Meghan, Leann and Brenna. Bill enjoyed spending his time by the pool or at the beach. He loved playing cards, traveling, and taking his girls to Disney any chance he got. He was a lifelong NY Giants and NY Mets fan. His favorite season was baseball season and he enjoyed following the Tampa Bay Rays after moving to Florida.
Bill had a way of making you feel special. He knew the importance of being kind and would offer a hand to all those in need. He will be missed dearly by all.
Visitation will be Sunday December 17th from 3-6 and a memorial service will be on Monday December 18th at 11 am at Morgan Funeral home located at 6025 Trouble Creek Rd New Port Richey Fl.
