Pauline J. Shaner New Port Richey, Florida - Formerly of Dover Pauline J. Shaner, 71, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2020 at her home in New Port Richey, Florida after a courageous struggle with Parkinson’s disease.Born on January 29, 1949 in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada; she moved to Delaware when she married her husband Sandy Shaner (Retired Trooper of the Delaware State Police Detective Unit and former Police Chief for the Town of Clayton, Delaware.) Pauline spoke fluent French and was utilized as a Court Interpreter by the State of Delaware. She was employed as a receptionist for 20 years with the Delaware State News. She also worked for the Milford Chronicle, The Whale in Lewes, Delaware and a Ford Dealership in Tampa Bay, Florida. She was a former member of the Zephyrhills, Florida, Moose Lodge #2276. Before her illness she immensely enjoyed dining out along with dancing, reading and traveling. Pauline always took pride in being fashionable and making sure her hair and make-up were done, which continued even through her illness. She was a devout Catholic. Pauline is survived by her husband, Sandy Shaner of New Port Richey, Florida, daughters Michelle Shaner-Johnson and husband, Jason, of Knoxville, Tennessee and Danielle Shaner-Arroyo of New Port Richey, Florida. She cherished her 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 2 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson that she was looking forward to meeting upon his arrival. Due to the current events surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic; a celebration of Pauline’s life will be in Delaware, date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pauline may be made to The Michael J.
