Carol Mapleson

Carol Mapleson passed away on February 25, 2022, in New Port Richey, surrounded by family. She joins her husband, Al, and sister, Joan. Carol is survived by her daughters Diane, Carol Ann, Christine, and Cathy, her sister, Pat, her grand-children, Siri, Anthony, Zackary, Dillon, Brooke, Cassidy, Nicole, Tamara, and 6 great grandchildren. She passionately loved her job as a preschool teacher. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, going to the movies, and spoiling her grand-children. She said many times that her crowning achievement was becoming a grandmother, and loved having sleepovers with the “Party Animals.” As her grandkids grew, she shared the love she had for babies with the neonatal ward at the local hospital. She cared compassionately, loved tenderly, believed in peace, and focused on the happiness of others. She will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. There will be a memorial on April 2, 2022 at a private residence. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to the Humane Society.
